A Tribute To....
My very first official blog... and I wanna make it a tribute to my friends at NUS
I took a myriad of modules in NUS - couple of introductory modules to various disciplines, wierd modules that not many will take (
SC2211???) and
all-time-favourite: 日本語 =)
Seriously, I made the most friends in LAJ1201 & LAJ2201; no names will be given but you guys know who you are - From the
Kuishinbo buffet to the Marina bowling and korean bbq to the farewell outing with Furuki sensei to the uber grand
wedding-like 21st birthday party... wow, simply amazes me. Must be the 3 tutorials
EVERY WEEK that create this bond unlike other modules
Of course, there are friends from modules other than jap lang... my very first project group from
Changing Landscapes of Singapore - We had people coming from UK, Taiwan, Hong Kong, pretty much like United Nations. The trips to Kent Ridge Park, Labrador Park, Sembawang Beach... :)
Also, EA1101. Totally bowled over by the spontaneity and enthusiasism and liveliness of this bunch. Dr June, our tutor, was hell of a great tutor. I nominated her for the Best Teacher Award dunno how come never get... -_-
I must say,
everyone who crossed my path contributed to the puzzle called the
'NUS Experience'. Be it how big or small, positive or negative, you guys make up the total package. Sure, there are people whom I never utter a single word to during the entire course, people who are
friends this sem, strangers next. You couldn't say NUS
is liddat wan lah - Yours truly ain't
Mr Popular himself but he could get nominated for
Mr Keep-to-himself at times =P HAHAHA Ya lah.. it's me lah. I take TIME to warm up to people, abeit too slow at times. When I feel ready to accept that person into my social circle, damn! The course ended... WTF -_-
Couple of people deserve some special mention from me; They were there to give me a helping hand when I needed one.
大恩大德,在下感激不敬!!! Again... no names : )
Mr A****N L**: This bugger really made life in NUS a smooth-sailing one for me. From the orientation talks, to how to bid for modules and tutorials, to telling me which stall sucks in Arts Canteen, to our 'special' room to study, hehehe.. this guy knows everything.
Dunno how he got time to dig out all the juicy bits of NUS but surely he is my
Yoda in NUS =)
To that
someone in Jap class TB7: At first thought she's some stuck-up,
sibei dao ah-lian. But she's actually very friendly and approachable. Conspired and took the same TC for the following sem for Jap Lvl 2. Did me a big favour when I couldn't take Jap 3 the following semester... really really thankful for this person :) ありがとう!!!
okie...I've ran out of juice...
Last Words:
皆、いろいろな事は、忝い。 いつかまた会おう
'minna, iro iro na koto wa, katajikenai. itsu ka mata aou''Dear people, thanks for everything. Let's meet up soon whenever possible'
Just a little more time! [*] 1:44 AM
